Biggest Story Of 2011

  Osama Bin Laden was the man behind the "9/11" terrorist attack. He was also the leader of Al Qaeda.  Osama was killed on May 1st 2011. Barack Obama said this was the "most significant achievement to date."Osama was found at a compound in Pakistan. The U.S. soldiers watched over the compound and when they thought the time was right, the killed him. Osama was shot twice. Bin laden was buried in the sea within the 24 hours he was killed. They buried him so fast because it's apart of the Islamic tradition. The 9/11 attack was the biggest in U.S. history. Bill Clinton and George W. Bush tried to take out Osama BIn Laden but both while they were presidents. Obama celebrated Osama's death with a dinner and playing golf.

  I think they should have killed Osama Bin Laden because what he did was unnecessary. The american people did not do anything to him. Osama killed over 2,700 people died in the 9/11 attack. Osama could have been planning another attack like this but he is now dead. Now that he is dead, I think Osama's people or followers will plan another attack to try to kill more people of America. Maybe the people of Al Qaeda will stop with the violence because their leader is dead. The war is not over but the man that controlled his army is now dead. They were just going to capture him, but he started to fire so the U.S. troops fired back. I think this story is the biggest of 2011 because it was on the news for weeks.
